The Project Design Manager (PDM) is accountable for all design related aspects of a project and communicating any issues that may affect the financial success of the project to the Project Manager. The PDM has oversight of all technical aspects of the project and makes project design execution decisions within the bounds set by applicable Policies, Standards, Procedures, Guides, and Contract commitments.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads and manages overall technical execution of the project.
- Delivery of the project scope and execution schedule.
- Ensures project scope is sufficiently defined to allow project work to proceed.
- Reviews and monitors design schedule and takes action to ensure on-time completion of design and procurement deliverables.
- Reviews and administers the design budget.
- Coordinates the design reviews in accordance with Quality Management System requirements.
- Responsible for the quality of all deliverables.
- Communicates with the client and Project Management team on technical matters and design team activities.
- Will coordinate with contractors and other third parties on all design-related activities.
Job requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Project Manager must be proficient in AutoCAD,
A+ for skills in Sketch up, Revit.
- Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture from either a recognized accredited program.
- 7+ years related work experience. (commercial projects preferred).
