Key day-to-day tasks of the Residential Interior Architect include:
- Leading project teams effectively, managing programmes, ensuring briefs are achieved within required timescales.
- Preparing and presenting design proposals to clients.
- Dealing with contractors, subcontractors and specialists to ensure site works are completed on time and on budget.
- Generating and developing design schemes with a focus on details.

- Experience on using AutoCAD.

PLD is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Senior Designer with 7-9 years of post-graduate experience in the field to join our expanding New York office. Beyond core technical competence and strong presentation skills, candidates must have an understanding of the built environment and a confident, fashion-forward approach to design. Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture required. Masters degree preferred, but not required.
- 7-9 years of proven experience at an Architecture or Interior Design firm in all phases of design process: concept development, schematic design, detail and design development, construction documentation and construction administration. Furniture and Lighting design and production experience is a plus.
- Experience in hospitality design highly preferred. Demonstrated focus on interior architecture and design.
- Candidate must demonstrate prior experience executing multiple projects thru completion at a very high level, and ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite (In Design / Photoshop / Illustrator) skills required.
Excellent 3D modeling and rendering (Rhino) skills preferred but not required.
- Highly developed skills in client communications, project scheduling, technical detailing, consultant coordination and construction administration.
- Demonstrated knowledge in FFE specification and materials research.
- Candidate must demonstrate a high level of AutoCAD skills and be proficient in generating and coordinating full Construction documentation sets.
- Excellent communication skills, and highly articulate. Fluency in written and spoken English required.
- Hands-on approach to design.
- Self-disciplined and confident in a dynamic environment.

- Must be legally able to work in the US. Relocation is not offered.
