Position Purpose Responsible for organizing, coordinating and leading a project team through the development of the construction documents. These projects are of significant scale and complexity. Technical expertise and experience is used to lead the project team through coordination and quality assurance process throughout the project. Lead and coordinate the documents and clarification efforts, as well as submittal review and site observation during bidding and construction.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Leads the coordination with project designer in translating design into contract documents.
- Coordinates and leads the project team, all disciplines, through the development of the contract documents.
- Coordinates communications and documents with consultants for the project.
- Coordinates and performs code reviews for the project with all disciplines.
- Coordinates and assigns team tasks, goals and deliverables with the architectural technical team members.
- Supports Project Manager in establishing and maintaining project milestones and deadlines.
- Leads coordination reviews with the Project Manager.
- Knowledge and coordination of applicable code into construction documents.
- Assists Project Manager in communication with Construction team throughout construction of project.
Working conditions This is a full time position. Location in our Kalamazoo office.
Qualifications:
- Accredited degree in Architecture preferred.
- AIA License from State of Michigan preferred.
- Revit experience required.
Dufner Heighes Inc is an architecture and interior design firm based in New York on the Lower East Side. We are currently seeking a full-time self-motivated interior designer or architect to run a new hospitality project from design through implementation. Ideal candidate has 3 years experience in hospitality for small boutique hotels and can start immediately.
In addition to running this new hospitality project, this is a great opportunity for experience, growth and exposure to all aspects of our high-end residential architectural and interiors practice. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Requirements:
- 3 plus years of full-time employment in hospitality.
- Experience in the hospitality market.
- Ability to work independently on all design phases.
- Experience preparing presentations, drawings and specifications for hospitality projects.
- Highly proficient with Vectorworks, Sketch Up, Photoshop, In-design, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Strong graphic, written and verbal communication skills.
