The Junior Designer candidate must be able to support the project design process including:
- Preparation of architectural plans and renderings.
- The ability to perform architectural assignments and work from designs of others.
- The ability to compile data and perform design computations.
- The ability to coordinate all aspects of personal project work towards successful completion.
- The ability to review and understand assignment and tasks.
- The ability to assist senior level staff with project assignments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within a design studio with emphases on residential multi-family, mixed-use, and commercial projects.
- Architectural Degree or Degree in related field.
- Knowledge of evolving Type I, III and V construction, as well as familiarity with local building codes and ADA regulations.
- Knowledge of and demonstrable experience necessary for the position:
- MS Office.
- AutoCAD.
- Revit experience is a plus.
- Sketchup.
- Adobe creative suite.
- Excellent verbal, written, and note taking communication skills.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design or foreign equivalent and 7 plus years interior architecture and / or design experience.
- Possess creative talent in conceptual design and rendering skills of either hand or computer sketching.
- Knowledge of design trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer supplier appropriateness.
- Knowledge of furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art, signage, color and materials to carryout design intent.
- Knowledge of building regulations and safety codes.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Proven ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients.
- Proficiency in the basic technical skills of interior design including the following computer skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD / Architectural Desktop.
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and lnDesign graphic software.
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in team environment.
- Ability to travel as required per project.
- Located within the Metro NY / NJ area and authorized to work in the United States.
