Exerting your influence:
- Applying your expertise in this field, you will develop unique, high-end design concepts for the interiors of our national and international shopping centres, with a strong focus on premium-quality appearance and functionality.
- Equipped with demonstrable creativity, you will also take charge of the various design stages over the course of the project. This calls for the ability to incorporate all the relevant functionalities within a contemporary interior design concept.
- Not only will you have to take into account the feasibility of planning requirements, you will also need to factor in design-to-cost issues and statutory provisions.
- As a member of interdisciplinary teams, you will work in close cooperation with various colleagues, thereby actively contributing to the commercial success of our shopping centres.
- This position is initially limited to a contractual period of 24 months.
Proving your strengths:
- Your success will be founded on a solid degree with an emphasis on Interior Architecture/Design and several years of work experience as an interior architect, ideally within a retail environment.
- You will require a good knowledge of the market in terms of materials, furnishings and colour concepts, as well as being well informed about the latest trends in the field of interior architecture.
- Alongside an intuitive understanding of the world of shopping, ideally you will also have gained some initial experience with regard to concepts for the gastronomy sector.
- Commitment, creativity, organizational skills and a keen sense of quality are also considered to be valuable assets within our international team.
- Last but not least, you will be proficient in the use of AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop and MS Office, complemented by a good command of English.

Brunel is recruiting a Project Architect for a highly reputable Engineering company based in Newark to work within an expanding Architectural Design team. They are looking for a passionate and driven individual to provide high quality sustainable design and project delivery and meet client requirements within their key market sectors.
Key responsibilities & duties:
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the latest building regulations and British Standards.
- Knowledge and understanding of sustainable technologies and assessment processes.
- Management and communication on all phases of the design process.
- BIM level 2 experience, using Autodesk Revit Architecture, and managing a design team for BIM level 2 delivery.
- Experience of using Navisworks and NBS Create would be an advantage.
- Able to manage a team of designers and technicians to prepare work packages for project delivery.
- On-site supervision for construction sites.
- Excellent detailing skills and experience in the preparation of production information.
Ideal candidate:
- The assignment would suit a Project Architect and Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, with a minimum of 5 years post part 3 experience within our key market sectors.
- Experience within industrial / commercial and manufacturing sectors is essential.
- Experience of retail, office and rail projects is advantageous.
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate design leadership, knowledge of RIBA work stages, the approved documents, British Standards, and other key references, as well as strong technical ability and attention to detail.
- It is essential that the successful candidate has a good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, BIM protocols and the ability to manage a small team of designers and technicians.
- Full UK Driving License.
