Theis + Khan Architects is seeking a talented Part III architect / recently qualified Part II with experience to work on substantial public buildings and private residential projects from our Tunbridge Wells office.
Supported by both directors you will have the responsibility of delivering one main project at any time whilst assisting on others as required. There will be opportunities for a wide variety of experience on our projects in London as well as Kent and East Sussex that include a civic centre, a headquarters office, private members’ club and private houses.
A strong design sensibility is needed together with experience of working on historic buildings and understanding sustainability issues. You will have excellent graphic, design and technical skills and be able to demonstrate experience of on-site construction, knowledge of procurement and project running experience. High-end corporate office design and employee structuring experience is essential. Your experience should demonstrate a strong ability to work across all RIBA work stages.
Applicants should be able to show the ability to work through technical issues and be familiar with relevant codes and UK building regulations. Your job will entail liaising with clients, consultants, planners and the construction team so you should be confident, professional, friendly and a good team-worker.
Our office uses Vectorworks, SketchUp, InDesign and Photoshop. Profiency in these as well as freehand sketching, good writing skills and fluency in speaking and writing English will be required. The right applicant will be organised, enthusiastic, ambitious, with a good sense of humour.
