LRS Architects, Inc, is based in Portland, Oregon, seeks to attract and retain high-caliber professionals and support staff. We are looking for a project architect / project managers with 9-15 years of relevant experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Main point of contact for project.
- Ensures that project conforms to contractual agreement with the client.
- Maintains on-going, positive, and productive client relationships. Is aware of and helps to articulate and achieve the client’s goals and objectives.
- Participates in the selection of the project engineers, architects, and team members.
- Manages and coordinates project between client, LRS project staff, sub-consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Manages project budget to ensure profitability.
- Manages project schedule to ensure completion within allocated period of time.
- Ensures that the project needs are satisfied by effectively managing project staff and resources.
- Organizes and establishes project files. Ensures final project closeout is complete.
- Manages invoicing and timely collections per contractual agreement.
- Manages overall project design program, budget, and quality, relating to design.
- Manages and ensures production of construction documents meet standard of care as provided by other professional firms proving similar services in the area.
- Ensures quality assurance process and controls have been performed.
- Ensures the project conforms to the contract during construction by direct oversight of construction or oversight of another staff providing direct oversight.
- Production of the documents of the scope of services in various phases from pre-design through construction contract administration.
- Communication with team, to ensure coordination of documents.
- Coordination of consultant technical work with project requirements.
- Technical accuracy and code compliance of the documents.
- Following office systems for efficiency of document production.
- May ensure the project conforms to the contract during construction.
Requirements:
- Experience. 9-15 years of relevant experience. Experience with Mulitfamily Housing is preferred.
- Communication. Effectively communicates the needs and issues of the project with the Project Manager and the project staff. Excels in communicating and negotiating with applicable jurisdictions. May also take on responsibility to effectively communicate with client representative(s) and other project consultants as determined by the Project Manager.
- Management. Efficiently produces documents to communicate the project at each phase.
- Implements applicable office systems for proficient and efficient delivery of project services.
- Technical. Understanding and ability to deliver services during all phases. Understanding aspects and ability to ensure the services are consistent or compliant with the project’s market segment, code requirements, products, sustainability issues, building systems, construction process, and cost estimates.
- Design. Adequate understanding of the project design concept and ability to develop documents to uphold the design intent. Understands and has ability to apply functional, spatial and proportional relationships in the project design.
- Ability to apply various software programs to effectively produce documents. High proficiency in REVIT preferred.
Education:
- Degree in Architecture required.
