Giles & Pike Architects are looking to recruit a talented and motivated architect to work on high quality private residential schemes across London. A minimum of 2 years’ post part III experience in the UK is required.
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to run their own projects, from initial design stages to completion on site. Excellent design and presentation skills are required, together with an aptitude for project management and client liaison. Experience of residential projects would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Good written and verbal communication skills are vital. Knowledge of Vectorworks, Sketch Up and Photoshop would be helpful but is not essential.
The position is full-time, with the possibility of an immediate start. Competitive Salary offered.

Baskervill has an immediate opening for a Mid-level Architectural Designer in our downtown Richmond, VA office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintaining client and consultant (in-house and external) communication (oral and written) throughout all phases of the project and maintaining all documentation of meetings and decisions with archiving in accordance with the Firm's protocol. Maintaining design integrity throughout all phases of the project -- coordinating design with team members, consultants, clients and supervising the process. Completion of construction documents and project manuals and regularly review for compliance with design intent, code compliance, accuracy, appropriate detailing or use of materials and coordination of specifications.
Ideal candidate has a Masters or Bachelor of architecture and 4+ years experience (experience with Health Care projects is a plus). Licensure and Leed certification a plus. Must have working skills in AutoCAD and Revit; basic 3D design software, Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in dealing with government agencies, regulations, and building/zoning codes, Advanced knowledge of sources, materials, products, cost analysis, construction methods, design and detailing, technical specs and document preparation. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present ideas to large groups required. Must be well organized, a team player and have some experience coordinating the work of others.
