AB Architekten is a design-focused, full-service architecture firm located in Lower Manhattan. Our work includes multi-family housing, private residences, interior design, and gut renovations. We are seeking a smart, energetic, and highly motivated Intermediate Interior Designer to join our studio to work on a variety of interior and ground-up construction projects in New York.
This position is suited to those who are interested in: working independently on multiple projects as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced and creative team environment; playing a meaningful role in all phases of projects; working directly with clients, contractors, and consultants.
Candidate should possess the following:
- Bachelor degree in Interior Design.
- Between 3 and 7 years of architectural office experience, NYC experience a plus.
- Experience with production of construction drawings.
- Good knowledge of materials, finishes, and hardware.
- Experience with Construction Administration.
- Project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCad, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
- 3D (Rhino/V-Ray) skills a plus.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Salary based on skill level and experience with potential for rapid advancement.

Established in 2008, Ashe + Leandro is an architectural and interior design practice based in New York City. We strive for excellence in design with a focus on high-end residential work. Small and responsive, the practice undertakes projects on a variety of scales. Our projects have been featured in Architectural Digest and Elle Décor just to name a few.
We are currently looking for a creative and talented architectural design graduate with a strong interest in interiors. The ideal candidate should be passionate about design, work well with others, and communicate their ideas in a clear and thoughtful manner. The candidate will be involved in projects from design through to completion and will work closely with other members of the architectural and interior design divisions.
This is an exciting position for somebody who wants hand on site experience and to work directly with clients in a friendly and downtown environment.
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Professional architecture degree, B.Arch or higher.
- Strong interest in interior architecture.
- At least 1 year design and construction experience preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D StudioMax (or other 3D tool). Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and MS Office
Ability to effectively communicate with design team and or client.
- Ability to efficiently prepare digital renderings.
- Ability to produce drawings for all design phases, conceptual design through construction documents and technical detailing.
- Ability to produce materials for client presentations.
- Ability to research manufacturers' materials, systems and specifications.
- Ability to coordinate design with all consultants, including renders, model builders and engineers.
- Be able to coordinate with clients, consultants and other team members.
- US Citizen or eligible to work in the USA.
This is a full-time position; salary will be commensurate with experience.
