We're looking for a Project Architect who can actively contribute to the design and delivery of engaging design experiences for our national and international clients. You'll be responsible for coordinating the work and outcomes of a talented team of planners, designers and architects, while impacting the delivery of exceptional project documentation. Qualified candidates should possess strong and effective organizational and communication skills. Current architectural registration is desired and a professional degree in Architecture is required, along with 10+ years of experience and Revit and / or AutoCad proficiency. The Project Architect's job is to manage and coordinate the work of the project team (including consultants) in the completion of construction documents and ensure that all documents meet the company’s quality control objectives, comply with codes, are constructible, are developed in accordance with project budget and schedules, and are consistent with office and project standards. This includes Revit process management and Revit content management. He or she is responsible for the quality and content of the construction documents (plans and specifications). Experience with hospitality, gaming, and/or entertainment projects is preferred.

AW seeks a design professional to join our Manhattan office and highly collaborative team, to:
- Conduct preliminary zoning and conceptual analysis for acquisitions.
- Produce imagery, renderings and schematic concepts for new development projects.
- Work with the team and our design partners to realize our vision for each project through the design and planning process.
- Produce proprietary drawings and sketches as necessary to supplement construction documents.
- Work with the team and design partners to select and specify exterior building systems, exterior finishes, interior finishes and fixtures, FF&E and exterior landscape elements.
- Assist in marketing and branding activities for our company and projects.
- Assist in hiring of design consultants, including creation of RFPs and reviewing proposals.
- Assist in the conceptualization, design and execution of interim use projects.
- Continuously research and keep abreast of the latest design trends.
Requirements:
- 5 years working experience in architecture in NYC.
- Excellent graphic representation skills, including rendering experience.
- Experience managing design projects from inception through completion.
- Experience in finish and fixture selection and sourcing, including interior and exterior elements.
- Working knowledge of NYC zoning, construction documents, MEP systems and NYC DOB process.
- Willingness to pitch in on a variety of office tasks depending on the current needs of the company.
- Licensure a plus but not required.
