Laguarda.Low Architects is seeking Senior Designers with 8-10+ years of experience with focus on large-scale mixed-use commercial projects. Founded in Dallas, TX in 2000 by architects with many years of collective experience and a passion for design and the creative process, Laguarda.Low is an international practice that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our practice and the market. In our 13 years of practice, we have worked on over 500 projects in more than 25 countries in Europe, Asia, and South America, as well as in the United States. Candidates for the Senior Designer position must exhibit a strong creativity and a skillful design vocabulary, as well as an ability to lead an energetic, fast-paced creative process to develop innovative design solutions. All candidates must have well-rounded experience in architecture, with particular focus on design from programming to material selection and detailing. Strong graphic and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a team environment, are also critical.
Specific qualifications involve:
- Accredited Professional or Graduate degree in Architecture with at least 8-10 years professional experience.
- Professional Registration preferable.
- Extensive knowledge of 3D modeling, presentation and design software; Sketchup, Rhino, 3D studio Max, AutoCAD, and Photoshop are key.
- Expert Design skills and ability to come up with innovative solutions to complex design problems.
- Experience leading the efforts on complex projects with multiple variables in a variety of environments.
- Skilled at multitasking and working toward multiple deadlines.
- Competence in leading a fast-paced, collaborative design environment.
- Strong graphic and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate design solutions to, and interact directly with clients.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently to lead design team.
- Expect some international travelling.

The Lawrence Group is a national architecture firm with offices in 4 US cities, with a total staff of about 150 people. The New York Office is seeking candidates for an intermediate architect position starting immediately. The office is a boutique design office with around 12 architects and designers.
Project involvement may include working on national retail design and roll-out, hospitality work or other building renovations in Manhattan and across the country.
Candidate qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 5-8 years professional experience in an architectural office.
- Excellent design and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent digital presentation skills, preferably including Sketchup and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of construction materials, details, methods and standard building codes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is a minimum requirement; the firm has fully implemented Revit on all new projects.
