We are seeking a highly qualified senior designer with in depth experience in multi-family housing projects [preferably highrise building experience] with a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant professional experience - in depth knowledge of constructability, confidence with design presentations, versatile with generating digital 3D design ideas, a mind that can change scales with ease, in-depth knowledge of all phases of design and construction, and a diverse portfolio of highly resolved built work. The position is full-time, compensation based on experience and skill-set. The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Architecture - Masters degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of post-academic, professional design experience, at least 4 years of which was spent designing retail projects.
- Exceptional design, management, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Revit a must have – expertise a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of architectural design, detailing, building materials and methods, building codes, and comprehensive understanding of the entitlement process.
- Applicants must excel in working collaboratively and effectively with the ability to lead fast-paced projects through all phases of project delivery, while fostering team spirit and an atmosphere of teaching and learning.

Spacelab are a forward thinking architecture and interior design practice. As experts in workplace design we work with our clients to analyse and re-imagine how they use their space to make it more effective.
We are looking for a technically proficient and experienced Senior Interior Architect / Designer to join us on a full time permanent basis to work on a range of prestigious and exciting projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Generating design feasibility documents for potential new clients.
- Interpretation of spatial requirements to generate strategic spaceplanes.
- Creation of SketchUp models, schematic renders and presentation visualisations.
- Running own projects varying in size up to £2 million.
- Responsible for generating, developing and implementing interior design schemes from concept to completion.
- Assist in the preparation of production, tender and construction package information.
- Site meetings and liaising with consultants and contractors.
Requirements:
- Spatial Design / Interior Design degree.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in the commercial workspace sector.
- Experience in delivering projects with environmental / sustainable credentials.
- Advanced knowledge in Vectorworks and BIM processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign.
- Good time management skills to meet multiple deadlines.
- Experience in FF&E selection, scheduling and coordination.
- Confident to deliver projects onsite during the construction stages, qualification in project running advantageous.
- Good knowledge and understanding of working to budgets.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Fluent in English, verbal and written.
