Progressive award winning Redwood City, CA architecture firm is seeking a highly motivated, creative and independent interior designer with technical orientation and design skills for full-time position. A minimum of 5-10 years of experience is required. Experience must include working with project teams on contemporary commercial office and retail buildings, corporate interiors and high end residential projects. Project types include new buildings, adaptive reuse projects, office, retail, restaurant, multifamily, mixed-use, single family residential and estates.
Candidate must have minimum B.Arch degree from accredited Interior design or architecture program. Excellent communication skills, including oral, written and graphic are required. Experience with all construction types, model codes, ADA and technical detailing skill is essential. Macintosh experience preferred, Proficiency with MSWord, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat applications required including Photoshop.
Build Team are a small but fast growing Design and Build Company who specialise in residential extensions and loft conversions in London.
We are seeking a bright and enthusiastic recently qualified Part 3 Riba registered architect to join our growing team. This role would be suitable for an individual who is ambitious and has excellent interpersonal skills. Your role will include duties such as supporting project architects in technical delivery on a variety of projects and provide all technical drawing support in AutoCAD. The right candidate would also be a natural team leader who is patient and happy to guide less experienced members of the team. A minimum of 2 years practice experience is required. Only candidates with solid UK practice experience and excellent English will be considered.
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting the Design Team in the day to day running of the business.
- Conducting Measured Surveys and site visit with clients and discussing design options with them.
- Drawing up existing floor plans and proposed designs in CAD.
- Assisting the Design Team and advising less experienced members of the team in any relevant CAD work.
- Signing off on timesheets and drawings.
- Supporting team members of all different levels
