Neuhaus Design Architecture, P.C. is a full-service architecture firm based out of a sun filled loft in an old factory near the Gowanus Canal. We specialize in high-end residential projects and enjoy working closely with clients, and collaboratively with contractors to provide unique design, a high level of service, and a high quality finished product.
We are looking for an Intermediate Architect/Project Manager to join our team. You will work directly with the principal and be responsible for the day to day management of a selection of projects. Current projects include brownstone/carriage house renovations and additions, combinations of adjacent apartments, and facade restorations.
Responsibilities will range from existing conditions documentation and schematic design to construction document creation and consultant coordination to bid leveling and construction administration. You will be involved with all phases of a project and interface with clients, consultants and contractors.
You should have the following qualifications:
- Professional degree in architecture.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience an architecture firm, high end residential experience a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills and follow through, ability to multi-task.
- Must be comfortable working both independently and within a team.
- Excellent AutoCAD and 3D modeling skills.
- Familiarity with preparing drawings and documents for NYC DOB and LPC filings.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
The salary for this position is competitive and will be determined based on experience and qualifications.

The applicant will have excellent design and technical skills with the flexibility to work on a variety of contemporary projects within a number of sectors including residential, mixed use, commercial office and retail.
Candidates should have the equivalent of 5 years professional experience, strong design capabilities and bid writing skills. Extensive hands on job running and project management abilities are desirable in these important client facing roles. Experience in using ArchiCAD will be an advantage, but not essential.
