Duties will include:
- Preparation of architectural design and construction documents.
- Specifying, Invoicing, and Ordering of Materials for Projects.
- General Office Management; ordering supplies, organization etc.
- Position is perfect for someone who wants to be highly involved in all phases of project development and completion – from schematic design through construction administration.
Applicant must have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture.
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Must be highly proficient in AutoCAD, with the ability to create technical and detailed drawings.
- Ability to clearly articulate design ideas. Including layout of interior space, material specification, etc.
- Excellent communication skills as the position requires much client, contractor and vendor contact.
- Knowledge of Google Sketchup, Photoshop and InDesign are preferred.
- Compensation based on experience.

Standard Architects is a busy 10-person architectural firm located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We are currently seeking a Junior Architect. Successful candidates will have excellent design and 3D modeling skills, experience working in a collaborative environment developing project documentation on complex projects and demonstrate effective problem solving and communication skills. This position also requires proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of 3D modeling as part of the design and documentation process. Candidates must have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience.
