Seeking an Intermediate Architect with solid high-end residential design and construction experience for projects ranging from NYC apartments to Long Island country homes. Candidates must be proficient with all architectural design programs and have strong digital modeling and rendering abilities.
Skill and requirements:
- Min. 3-5 years of work experience in all project phases of construction: from conceptual design through construction administration.
- Extensive experience in construction document preparation, detailing for high-end residential construction and interiors.
- Experience in both high-end interior renovations and single family wood frame construction.
- Excellent AutoCAD drafting skills.
- Excellent 3D Studio MAX modeling capabilities w/ knowledge of Vray.
- Strong design and graphic abilities.
- Knowledge of NYC building codes, filing process, and zoning regulations is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Hard working, reliable, strong writing and communication skills.
- An open mind, ability to work self-sufficiently, and flexibility to perform a variety of tasks.
- Bachelors of Architecture degree & eligibility to work in the United States.
- Residing within commuting distance to NYC.

Reef Estates is a dynamic property development firm based in central London who have an opportunity for an experienced Architect to join our in-house design team and share in our firm’s passion for design.
We are looking for an innovative and ambitious individual who is looking for a progressive career as a designer/developer on a variety of medium to large high profile and exciting mixed-use developments in London and the south east.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading projects from concept feasibility, through planning and construction, to completion.
- The preparation and development of concept sketches, drawings, models, presentation documents and statutory reports.
- Responsibility as project design manager for key design decisions, project appointments and management of external design and construction consultant teams.
- To liaise with and manage commercial partners and end user tenants to ensure control of programme and budgets through planning and construction.
Candidates must have at least 5 years’ UK experience as an Architect with good verbal and written English and be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
Experience using ArchiCAD would be beneficial however we will offer ArchiCAD training if required to successful candidates with relevant practical UK experience.
The position comes with an immediate start date and salary is dependent on experience.
