The ideal candidate will be a good problem solver and confident in a client-facing role, and will also be happy to work at different stages of design. You will be working with larger scale commercial projects as well as smaller scale residential schemes.
A minimum of 3-5 years post Part 3 experience in the UK is essential.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading and overseeing multiple projects; supervising and tutoring junior staff and managing outsourced resources.
- Producing / co-ordinating detailed drawings.
Requirements:
- Project management skills (helping to coordinate information and supporting team members).
- Experienced with Sketchup, Photoshop, Autocad and NBS Specifier.
- Experience in Revit is ideal.

We are seeking a Sr. Project Designer specializing in Housing / Mixed-Use for our Charlotte office. The ideal candidate must have experience in and passion for our core practice of housing, mixed-use, and community / commercial design.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for quality designs, generate new concepts and ideas and translate concepts into buildable design solutions on a variety of project types.
- Work alongside with Design Principals / Directors, and as a member of a team to Vision, Develop, and Document Designs.
- Oversee client program requirements.
- Plan, coordinate, and direct multiple concurrent projects in various stages of development.
- Develop solutions to issues arising during the course of the project.
- Assist with the training and mentorship of intern Design Team Members.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, project team, and the coordination of proposals/contracts and outside consultant activity.
Requirements:
- Professional licensure preferred.
- Revit experience is highly preferred. High proficiency in Autocad, Photoshop, and Sketch-up is required.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in multi-family architecture plus 3+ years in design / project management role.
- Hand sketching ability (2D & 3D).
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional services from marketing through project close-out, including design and technical expertise.
- A comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines.
- Ability to motivate others and develop teamwork.
- Must have excellent writing and speaking skills, and strong organizational and presentation skills.
- Ability to work well with others under deadline situations.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible.
- Must have strong leadership, and client relations skills.
- Leed Accredited a plus.
