Ramaker & Associates is seeking a highly motivated Senior Architect-Project Manager. As a Senior Architect you will be the Team Leader for the entire architectural project from budget to implementation. Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Perform Construction Administration services and perform site conformance reviews.
- Ensure project team meets quality, schedule, contractual and budget goals.
- Establish and maintain client relations.
- Lead team of designers and CAD staff during Design Phase of project.
- Participate in assessing and hiring outside design consultants and collaborate with governmental agencies.
- Advanced knowledge of federal, state and local administrative codes relating to building projects.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in architecture and at least 5 years of relevant experience including site construction. Other important skills include excellent written and oral communication, Revit design ability, decision-making and problem solving skills. A hugely successful architecture practice based in modern design studios in London are launching an interiors division of the business, based on opportunities with existing clients, and require a talented Senior Designer to lead this team. The Interior Design service will be integrated with award-winning architecture studio, encouraging a collaborative style of work. Projects will include branding, styling and fitting out of multi- unit prime residential developments.
The Senior Designer will be expected to assume ownership, responsibility and accountability for the creative design aspects and quality of one or more projects, leading and motivating the team to consistently achieve the highest standards of Design.
Role responsibilities:
- Oversee the design process from initial concept through to detail design ensuring concepts are of an exemplary standard meeting client expectations.
- Monitor and guide design team and take action where performance and delivery.
- Management of a successful relationship with the client.
- Lead the design team members to achieve high standards.
- Preparation of high quality mood boards, visuals and presentation material.
- Actively engage in discussions and support decisions once they are made.
The right candidate will have the following:
- An Interior Designer or Interior Architect with C 5 – 10 years’ experience which must include a substantial proportion of contemporary residential interiors.
- Experience of working in or closely with Architects and an understanding of collaboration in that environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good freehand drawing & sketching skills.
- Strong leadership qualities, an assertive manner with the drive to work autonomously and push the boundaries of design.
- High level creative skills combined with an ability to craft the detail design of projects and deliver an excellent standard of finish.
- Knowledge of specification writing & scheduling of FF&E.
- Ability to steer detailed design of joinery and component packages.
- Highly CAD literate, Vector works experience preferred.
