Role description:
The PA/D will be responsible for the production of high-end commercial interior projects on the East Coast. Our ideal candidate will have excellent design talent, be an efficient producer of design and construction documents, and a responsible partner with the client during construction administration. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment that expects effective organization in an autonomous working condition, and works successfully with others, including fellow staff members, clients and vendors.
You will coordinate with and report to a Senior Project Architect in NY and may occasionally work with senior staff members in San Francisco. We anticipate visits to the home office from time-to-time. Short duration trips to locations such as Boston or Washington, DC is anticipated for site visits, field surveys or construction administration.
Qualifications and skills:
- Lead the design and development of commercial tenant improvement projects while contributing meaningfully to the design.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage time and resources.
- Strong technical skills.
- Experience with complex client presentations and service and the ability to take client direction.
- Comfortable assuming responsibility to bring in each project within the architect’s fee and construction budget constraints.
- Ability to work efficiently, effectively and independently to create successful projects and happy clients.
- Superior interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Software proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, Adobe CS, and Microsoft Office.
