Our desired candidate will have professional experience in New York, ideally in corporate and commercial architecture, and a demonstrated interest in thoughtful, modern design.
Responsibilities include:
- Design coordination and detailing.
- Document preparation.
- Construction observation.
Requirements:
- Must be proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites.
- Leed accreditation and knowledge of environmentally sensitive building systems and products are desirable.
Education & experience:
- Relevant degree in Architecture.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Construction administration experience would be a plus.

AJS Design/s is looking for a full-time, interior designer. The ideal candidate enjoys problem solving, can be creative and whimsical, but has a solid foundation in design rigor. You must be able to work on multiple projects with a team, be an integral part of every phase of design and construction, and be willing to learn and grow into a more senior role within the firm.
We are a small firm primarily involved in high-end residential design and architectural renovations. Must be comfortable wearing many hats. We are dedicated and hard working, but also value work/life balance. Our office is open and bright, with friendly interaction.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- 3-5 years experience in a design firm, preferably in residential design.
- Comfortable working with architectural and decorative materials, furniture and finishes.
- Ability to multi-task, work collaboratively, and have exceptional attention to detail.
- Clear and thoughtful communication and writing skills.
- Strong 3-D skills required.
- Rendering proficiency.
- Must know AutoCAD, SketchUp Photoshop, Excel and Word. Illustrator is a plus.
- Technically oriented.
- Strong skills in both project design and management.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction documentation.
- Strong presentation skills.
