The Phoenix office of SmithGroupJJR is currently accepting applications for a Project Architect.
Working with us, you will:
- Perform architectural drawings, renderings and design assignments for healthcare projects.
- Create architectural drawings, renderings and design assignments under general supervision.
- Produce and coordinate a complete set of construction documents for permitting and bidding for small projects.
An ideal candidate:
- Is technically competent and has proven growth in schematic design through construction administration.
- Is detail oriented and self-motivated.
- Is proficient with technical detailing.
- Possesses working knowledge of engineering systems; the ability to understand and communicate with professionals of other disciplines.
- Is knowledgeable of the design and construction process, applicable building codes, detailing methods, and product specification methods.
- Has a demonstrated ability to communicate with clients, and build client relationships and trust.
- Is proficient with Building Information Modeling and 3D Skills; Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required.
- Has a Bachelor’s degree and 4 to 7 years of experience working on medium to large scale healthcare projects. Leed ap preferred.

A West London based company specializing in upholstered furniture are seeking a Residential Interior Designer to join their expanding team. Their vision is to become the number one luxury furniture supplier to the luxury interior design market. Included in this is their imminent expansion from their 11,000sq ft. showroom to one in excess of 90,000sq ft. To date, you will have had a high flying career in a luxury focused role within a leading London interior design company or equivalent and be ready for the challenge where you will be given the creative freedom to turn their vision into reality. This is a once in a lifetime project that cannot be missed.
Key day-to-day tasks of the Residential Interior Designer include:
- Working within the project management team under the guidance of the company’s owner to achieve beautiful designs on budget and on time.
- Develop the client’s Interior Design service business.
- Managing a team of Designers.
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors.
- Taking responsibility for delivering and/or co-ordinating.
- Take responsibility for design decisions.
- Using your creative talent to create new and striking interiors.
Key attributes of the Residential Interior Designer include:
- Knowledge of AutoCAD.
- 6+ years residential interior design exprience.
- Opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects simultaneously.
- Ability to successfully run design projects as well as build the in house design team from the ground up.
