Bates Masi Architects is a thirteen-person architecture firm located in Sag Harbor, New York specializing in modern residential and boutique commercial architecture. Our focus is on innovative design, based on extensive research and knowledge of fabrication, craft, construction, and materials. The firm is widely published and receives multiple design awards each year. We were honored with a Record House award and inducted into the ID Hall of Fame. A monograph of the firms work will be coming out this winter. Bates Masi is a design-oriented partnership with an emphasis on providing a good learning environment.
The position is for recent graduates who have a professional degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited school. We are looking for a candidate who will grow with the office by consistently putting forth their best effort and assuming more responsibility over time.
The successful applicant’s qualifications will include:
- Internship experience in construction documents, detailing, digital modeling, rendering, digital fabrication, and graphics.
- 3ds Max, and Vray experience is an asset.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills (English required).
- The ability to condense, categorize, and present research and ideas.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and willing to relocate to the Hamptons.

Millar Howard Workshop are currently looking for an excellent job-running architect. We are a busy medium-sized practice, (of 12), working out of the top floor of an old mill building in the Stroud Valleys; a beautiful and vibrant area in the heart of the Cotswolds well connected to Bristol and back to London. We have a strong studio-based design ethos with work ranging from low energy new build homes, to highly crafted conversions of historic buildings, to innovative public and commercial buildings.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced, (minimum 3 years post-part III), job running architect to manage others, overseeing projects through all work stages. Strong technical ability and interpersonal skills will be vital, as well as an aptitude for overseeing projects on-site.
Experience of, or a working knowledge of, Vectorworks would be an advantage, as would experience of specification and schedule writing using NBS software. Ownership or access to a car will be essential. Salary will be relative to experience, with opportunities for growth.
