A unique opportunity for a qualified Architect has arisen working for a privately owned property development and investment company based in leafy Buckinghamshire. Their interests lie predominantly within the private residential sector where they actively seek to purchase then develop individual properties and land but they are also involved with a number of commercial developments that have subsequently been let to Government and Blue Chip companies.
Their 2 strong in-house architectural team is stretched to their limits and now have an urgent need to recruit a qualified Architect to join them and work on a whole variety of small and large scale residential developments where the majority of their involvement is up to Planning. They currently use a number of external practices and are now looking to increase the workload internally so they urgently need an individual who is more than happy to take on board a varied workload where no two days are the same!
You will be working alongside two extremely experienced individuals who require assistance in developing a number of projects and introducing more technology into the team!

The ideal candidate will:
- Participate in the conception of interior design projects for clients and conduct design research.
- Communicate design intent to fabricators, architects, contractors and vendors and ensure timely delivery of all items through clear internal milestones.
- Review all architectural plans, shop drawings, lighting proposals and other documentation related to design development.
- Curate, procure and manage logistics of all FF&E and accessories.
- Build presentation decks and mood boards for high-level clients, including developing comps, writing copy, crafting layout, researching swipe etc.
- Research, acquire and manage all samples and materials.
- Work with Interiors team on custom designs, furniture layouts and floorplans.
- Brief graphic designers on comps in a project-to-project basis.
- Maintain schedule and budget in a project-to-project basis.
- Advise the Interiors Director on any outstanding or high-priority items.
- Act as de facto Office Facilities Manager and as on-site liason for retail buildouts.
Skills and requirements:
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Working knowledge of construction timelines, project sites and architectural drawing sets.
- Strong budgeting and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, InDesign and Internet research tools.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, CAD or rendering software.
- Experience in vendor management and facilitation of large teams.
- An excellent communicator and negotiator.
- Thorough understanding of and appreciation for art, architecture and design with a refined level of taste.
- An open mind, desire to learn new things, flexibility to perform a variety of tasks.
