Key day-to-day tasks of the Junior Workplace Interior Designer include:
- Liaising and managing relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Communicating conceptual ideas through hand sketching or computer modelling.
- Generating and developing design concepts.
- Assisting the design team when required.
- Producing technical packages.
Key attributes of the Junior Workplace Interior Designer include:
- Hands on individual with a competent level of confidence and knowledge in AutoCAD.
- Well presented, with exceptional design and organisation skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to hand sketch.
- Excellent communication and entrepreneurial qualities, both verbally and written.
- Around 2-4 years relevant experience creating commercially viable workplace design projects in London within a collaborative environment.
- Hard working with a strong sense of team work and a drive to succeed.
- An understanding and passion for workplace design is a must.
- Good knowledge of English, both written and verbally.

This position is currently available in our New York office. We are looking for an ambitious, talented and self-motivated individual to join the Hart Howerton team. The individual will be managing, designing and building mixed-use development and residential projects at multiple scales in the US and abroad.
The Project Architect will lead an interdisciplinary team, providing Revit expertise as well as other leadership and management skills. Responsible for managing Revit production of designs and working drawings while coordinating necessary personnel and firm resources. Also, provide strategic planning and creative design for clients requiring the firm’s unique perspective for their challenging projects. Maintain relationships with clients, organize a work flow, structure proposals and fees, and lead a team.
This position requires excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills for use in an interactive design team environment. An ability to work at a variety of project scales from planning to detail design. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in Revit and AutoCAD and work experience applying Revit skills to all stages of design and construction in an architectural design firm setting. Fluency in SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop and In-Design are a plus. Additionally, successful candidates will have experience managing and coordinating the work of a consultant team andan interest in a wide range of building types and settings.
