Shubin + Donaldson Architects in Culver City is seeking a motivated Designer / Architect with 3-5 years of experience in publication-quality commercial and residential projects as an addition to our team. S+D is currently undertaking a diverse range of new projects, including ground-up construction, commercial renovations, creative workplaces, and custom residences.
Position requirements: We are seeking a talented individual with the ability to work both independently in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a project team. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in conceptual design, design presentation, and construction documentation. Strong graphic, organization and communication skills are essential. Proficiency with developing construction documents and experience in Revit and AutoCAD are required. 3D modeling skills in 3ds Max, Rhino and SketchUp are preferred. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or have permanent residence status.

Our requirements:
- You should have a minimum of 5 years post part III UK experience having completed built projects from conception to practical completion as lead/Project Architect.
- You must have outstanding design ability to integrate design, detail, sustainable performance and innovative construction into projects.
- You must have good presentation skills with experience of working directly with clients consultants and contractors.
- You should have a good background in residential housing.
- You should show thorough knowledge of planning and experience with planning negotiations would be advantageous.
- You should show good technical detailing skills and a thorough knowledge of the current Building Regulations.
- You should be proficient in CAD (experience with Archicad and Revit is advantageous), and the Adobe Creative Suite.
