Collins Architectural Group is a Longview, WA firm that is seeking a beginning to intermediate level architect who will contribute to all phases of a project. We are looking for someone that independently solves problems encountered and can deal with all aspects of the architectural process, is detailed oriented, and self-motivated.
Project types include Commercial, Educational, Institutional and Industrial.
The architect should be skilled at putting together a complete, well detailed set of construction documents.
Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp is essential.

The Senior Designer job:
- A thorough understanding of the design process, from concept through to manufacture.
- Able to combine technical, strategic, creative and craft skills to ensure that the essence of a brand is optimally instilled into every aspect of the brands physicality.
- Great sketching and visualisation abilities, showing a thorough understanding of form.
- Ability to generate and clearly communicate inspiring ideas, from sketch work through to development, visually and verbally.
- Running projects and manging project teams with the ability to delegate and mentor more junior team members.
- Capable of building rapport, liaising with suppliers and clients directly.
- Resourceful, intuitive and inventive problem solving supporting a broad range of design briefs ranging from sculptural brand expression to innovative functionality.
- The ability to create new ideas independently and within a team.
- Strong project management skills and commercial awareness, with a proven track record of running projects.
- Working knowledge and experience of manufacturing, materials, processes, and mechanical principles.
About the Senior Designer:
- A BA, BSc degree in Product Design is essential.
- A great thinker who can understand and interpret brands, appreciating how products and brands interact with consumers.
- A self-motivated, energetic and inspiring team player.
- A positive and proactive approach.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD – Pro Engineer, Alias or similar.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
