Riaz Design is calling for designers with substantial CAD/ Revit and production experience. The Designer is responsible for working with our architects and team members in seeing assigned projects through to completion. Work will include design and production from Schematic Design through Construction Documents and will include direct client relationship management.

Desired skills and experience:
- Excellent design, visual, written and oral communication skills.
- Graduate of an NAAB accredited 4 or 5-year school of architecture or NAAB accredited Master’s program.
- Must be a team player who is willing to accept a full range of responsibilities and roles.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to take direction.
- Proficient AutoCAD, Revit, 3D modeling programs, Adobe Suite and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously and independently.
- Shows initiative, pro-activity, and ownership of projects where appropriate.
- Thorough knowledge of architectural drafting, detailing, building materials, building codes and construction.
- Be able to prioritize and manage time effectively with the ability to be flexible and embrace shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Should be aware of a variety of the field's concepts, best practices, and procedures.
Established in 1975, the architecture and planning firm of Togawa Smith Martin, Inc (TSM) is prominent in the field of multi-family residential and mixed-use retail/residential design. Located in downtown Los Angeles, and with many of the nation’s premier developers and public housing agencies among its clients, TSM has designed over 25,000 housing units throughout the Western United States. Acclaimed for its unique ability to blend sensitive design with thoughtfully composed and cost effective planning, TSM has been recognized with numerous design awards from both governmental and professional organizations.
Position qualifications:
- 2 – 5 years for Intermediate Position.
- 5 – 10 years for Senior Position.
- Passion for design, creative.
- Good communication skills with client and staff.
- Strong presentation skills, including experience with Photoshop & Sketchup.
- Versatile in design styles, traditional-modern.
- Fast learner-self motivated.
- Able to meet deadlines.
- Familiar with architectural phases SD-CDs.
- Residential/Mixed use experience.
- High density multi-family podium and wrap projects experience a must.
- Strong in drawing technology AutoCAD / Revit.
- Familiar with building materials.
- BA Architecture/B.Arch.
