The Architectural Designer will assist the project architect in tasks necessary to complete project documentation and construction administration duties consistent with the Firm’s commitment to design and quality. The Boston Office covers multiple practice areas including Higher Education, K-12, Senior Living, Housing, Healthcare and Corporate Interiors.
Job responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Project Architect/Project Manager for the project and will be an integral part of the technical team.
- Developing plans, elevations, and details related to project scope through DD, CD, and CA phases using Revit.
- Document control, maintain current set of project drawings and specifications.
- Contribute in the generation and implementation of innovative design concepts - utilizing multiple formats including drawing, modeling and 3D imaging.
- Participate in the interface between the Boston Studio and our national and international colleagues, including coordination with clients, consultants, and jurisdictional authorities.
Key skills:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture degree required.
- Minimum 1 to 5 years architectural experience, Higher Education or Corporate Office Work experience a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Must be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in Sketchup and 3DsMax a plus.
- Must possess high organization skills in graphic rendering – including Rhinoceros, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign – is required.
- Demonstrated general knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction techniques, related engineering principles and building codes.
