We are currently looking for Senior Architects to join our Shanghai office. The ideal candidates should have effective management and team leadership skills, strong design sensibilities, excellent technical skills, a flexible mentality, and experience managing all stages of a project, from concept through to construction.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience, with extensive experience with built international, large-scale projects.
- Extensive coordination experience with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Excellent communication, budget control, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent aesthetic sensibilities and design skills.
- Extremely technical with the ability to resolve architectural solutions through innovative thinking (documented through construction and shop drawings/details).
- Effective project management and team leading abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of products, materials, and construction methods, especially in Asia.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a continuous desire to both learn from and mentor others.
- Responsible, accountable, and able to foresee risks and solve conflicts in projects.
- Working knowledge of 3D + 2D software (Rhinoceros, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, etc.).
- Fluent English communication skills (reading and writing); fluent Mandarin communication skills (reading and writing) a plus.

PRIME AE Group, a well-established and emerging multi-discipline A/E firm with a combined (12) office locations within the New England, Mid-Atlantic, Mid-West and Florida Regions, is seeking a Project Architect for our Baltimore Corporate office (UMBC Tech Campus).
- The project focus will be of Defense / DoD / Military and government facilities/buildings.
Primary job responsibilities:
- Develops advanced concepts, techniques, and standards for DoD / Military / Dept of Defense-related projects.
- Plans, programs, designs, coordinates, and supervises the preparation of construction documents of projects for clients according to their desires, needs, and financial resources.
- Conducts periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with Detailed Design Documents.
- May prepare client project presentations, studies, and reports.
- Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans – specifically AutoCAD, Microstation, and Revit.
- May direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project.
Training and experience:
- Minimum of (7) years experience required.
- BA/BS or MA (Master of Architecture).
- Registered Architect in Maryland.
- Leed Accredited professional strongly preferred (Leed ap within 6 months of hire required).
- Experienced in all phases of project design, construction documentation and construction materials.
- Strong interpersonal skills, verbal, listening and written including client presentation skills.
- Proficient in Revit.
- Strong knowledge base of building codes, standards, building structures, and engineering systems.
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
