This firm specializes in providing planning, engineering and architectural services to the commercial, multi-family and public-works industries. The Architectural Designer will work on a team that is responsible for providing high-level architectural design services to their retail / commercial, mixed-use and multi-family development clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide CAD design and BIM support to a wide variety of projects.
- Generate high-quality production work for a variety of clients.
- Create and coordinate construction documents within Revit.
- Provide research support for design standards and codes.
- Utilize industry standard CAD techniques and standards.
- Liaise with clients and cultivate quality relationships at all times.
- Prepare and organize graphic and physical presentations for clients.
- Work independently and on a team of designers, PMs, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Architecture required and Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years of architectural design experience is required.
- Commercial and/or multi-family project experience preferred.
- Licensed Architects or working towards being licensed is preferred.
- Strong proficiencies with Revit and AutoCAD is preferred.

From Sept 14th - Dec 31st, we are looking for a designer to help grow our practice by assisting in the design and development of several New York City based projects including a hybrid cafe, real estate brokers office/art gallery, a food market in NoMad, apartment and office renovations, and a community center / affordable housing mixed-use development. Alongside these design opportunities you will also engage in developing new tools and methodologies for the Oculus Rift and Revit, provide research assistance for our Graham Foundation Grant investigation on Silicon Valley, and be an integral part of designing the culture of our practice!
Essential skills:
- Strong conceptual and design skills.
- Required: Strong modeling and drafting skills in Revit.
- Proficient: Rhino, VRay, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite with openness to learn new software.

- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and budget time.

Duties:
- Responsible for production of design documents, presentations and/ or construction documents.
- Develop design from sketches, layouts and details which are prepared by others.
- Responsible for production of 3D renderings and physical models.
- Perform field surveys and verifications and assist with construction administration.
- Participates in selection and procurement of FF&E.
Experience and qualifications:
- Preference given to applicants with 1-3 years of previous experience in an architecture, interior design, or related field. Compensation will be pegged to experience.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or related field.
- Has all visas and permits required to work in the United States.
