Primary purpose of position:
FXFOWLE is looking for a dynamic and creative Senior Project Architect with experience on Interior projects to oversee and provide leadership on the technical aspects of interior design projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide project management and technical leadership in a design driver interiors practice.
- Develop technical details in support of the design.
- Coordinate the production of construction documents, and run a project through construction administration.
- Incorporate integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
- Conduct programming efforts such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, lighting and color coordination.
- Prepare and conduct client presentations.
- Responsible for communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary.
- Support the Construction Administration phase responding to RFIs, COs, and reviews shop drawings.
- Mentor and direct the work of less experienced staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10-15 years related experience.
- Strong technical skills including proficiency with AutoCAD, REVIT and other related design software.
- Prior experience with higher education / medical education/corporate environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application.
- Knowledge of furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E), architectural / interior finishes, lighting and color schemes to carryout design intent.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- NCIDQ and / or Registered Architects preferred.
- Leed accredited preferred.
- A graduate of an accredited Masters or Bachelor of Architecture or Interior Design degree program or related combination.

Craine Architecture has an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Interior Designer. We are a firm focused on hospitality, mixed-use, multifamily residential, and custom residential design. We are committed to employee retention and employee growth.
Duties:
- Function as the Senior Interior Designer at Craine Architecture.
- Manage projects of all sizes and levels of complexity.
- Lead the team and the design development of projects in all phases and be responsible for project budget management / cost control.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in interior design or closely related field.
- 8 or more years of professional experience in the field of interior design.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch-Up, Illustrator, Excel, etc. as needed to create computer generated plans, interior and exterior elevations, building details, schedules, compose presentation boards and generate 3D models.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with team.
- Strong knowledge of design process including material specification—must have strong knowledge of the latest available materials, as well as their appropriate applications, availability and cost.
