We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a 'problem-solving' and design oriented professional within the Design / Development / Architectural Department. The position will be located in the company’s headquarters’ office, currently located in Edison, NJ and accessible via the Metropark train station. The company plans to relocate the HQ to the Jersey City waterfront during the first half of 2016 and will be accessible via the PATH and Hudson-Bergen light-rail. Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Support the Leasing / Construction / Development / Property Management / Acquisitions / Legal / Marketing Departments of a full service Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) with a portfolio of over 200 buildings.
- Develop space plans and test fits for tenants of 1,500 to 60,000 SF.
- Maintain working knowledge of local and national building code compliance.
- Ability for creative design within specified budgets.
- Interaction with tenants to meet programming needs.
- Selection of finishes/material/colors - prepare Finish Boards.
- Maintain company Network Drawings / Available Space Plans / Marketing Plans.
- BOMA Area Calculations.
- Prepare Pricing Drawings.
- Prepare Construction Drawings.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Architecture, Interior Design or related fields.
- 5 - 7 years experience (Commercial office interior and design/Landlord design services).
- Knowledge of commercial real estate process.
- Hands-on abilities in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Photoshop and or Adobe In Design a plus.
- Ability to multitask numerous tenant projects in various design and construction phases-organizational skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- NCIDQ Certification / Leed ap a plus.

Requirements:
- Professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Industrial Design.
