We are an established and expanding architectural practice based in Cheshire with a fantastic portfolio of design-led independent school projects throughout the UK and Middle East, along with a developing presence in the high-end residential sector.
Due to increasing workloads, we are looking to recruit a number of Architects, including a residential team leader.
Job description:
At least 4 years post qualification experience. The role involves leading and developing our small, high-end residential team. This is a varied role but key tasks include:
- Winning new work - meeting potential clients, taking briefs and producing fee proposals.
- Managing other members of the residential team – allocating work, briefing the team, ensuring that deadlines are met.
- Liaising with clients and driving projects forward.
- The capability to work from brief to completion through all Riba work stages.
- Input into marketing the residential side of the practice alongside the marketing director.
The ideal candidate will have experience in residential design and will be looking to take the next step in their career, managing a small team and taking responsibility for developing our presence within the residential sector. A good team player with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Proficiency on AutoCAD is required. Revit experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities include:
- Developing conceptual designs through sketching and ArchiCAD models.
- Contributing to design charettes with team.
- Working with project architects to complete construction documents and specifications.
- Estimating for design build projects.
- Assistance with construction administration and job site visits.
- Client communications and project management.
Requirements for position:
- Professional architectural experience (1+ years preferred).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture.
- Strong design sense and freehand sketching ability.
- Knowledge of construction documents and building technology.
- Confidence with using ArchiCAD / modeling software.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective writing and verbal communication.
- Willingness to learn and accept challenges.
