A sophisticated and modern design studio, specialising in the hospitality and retail sectors, are looking for a Leisure Interior Designer to join their company. The studio works on a number of different projects designing interiors for hotels, bars, restaurants and private clubs, whilst also dealing with a select number of private clients on the residential side.
Key day-to-day tasks of the Leisure Interior Designer include:
- Liaising with clients and suppliers.
- Working as part of a small team designers working on a variety of projects.
- Delivering the assigned piece of work in line with project deadlines.
- Preparing sample boards, schedules, drawings and specifications for tender.
- Generating and developing design concepts.
- Delivering projects on to site.
Key attributes of the Leisure Interior Designer include:
- AutoCAD fluency is essential, SketchUp and Photoshop fluency preferred.
- 4 years + experience.
- Strong design skills.
- Bar / restaurant / leisure experience preferred.
- Proven track record of running projects including design, working drawings and site supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.

Primary purpose of position:
FXFOWLE is looking for a dynamic and creative Senior Architectural Designer with Interiors experience to oversee and provide leadership on Cultural / Institutional projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Set design direction for projects and assure that rigorous design principles are carried through from the concept to the details and through construction.
- Provide daily design guidance for a project team.
- Interface with client on selected projects.
- Must have a passion for design and an ability to inspire.
- Must be able to mentor junior staff.
- Assist in recruiting design staff.
- Participate in marketing and business development effort of the Studio.
- Participate in office-wide design working groups.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with prominent consultants to further innovation in building systems and technology.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10-15 years related experience.
- Strong design abilities represented by completed projects and published work.
- Strong graphic and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and team building abilities.
- Prior experience successfully leading project teams and consultants teams, as well as interfacing with clients.
- Experience taking a project from concept and feasibility study phases to development of details and completion of construction.
- Prior experience with higher education/medical education/corporate environments is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- NCIDQ and / or Registered Architects preferred.
- LEED accredited preferred.
- A graduate of an accredited Masters or Bachelor of Architecture or Interior Design degree program or related combination.
